Meat Rush

(A quick and enticing way to keep your meat from loafing)

Ingredients

Approximately one pound ground chuck or ground beef or ground turkey or ground muskrat…You get the idea just as long as it’s well grounded

One sleeve crushed cracker crumbs (Ritz is my favorite, but any will do) or approximately ¾ cup seasoned bread crumbs (if you don’t have time or the energy to crush the crackers)

2 eggs (Again, I suggest chicken eggs unless you want to try something more exotic like 500 humming bird eggs)

½ tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce (you could also try A-1 if you have trouble saying Worcestershire)

½ tablespoon Chicago steak seasoning (actually, any cities steak seasoning could work. Although, I have never tried Washington DC’s seasoning as it might say something on the outside and be completely different when it comes out)

1 small to medium chopped onion (or 1/4 cup onion flakes if you are the non-violent type)

Directions

Mix all ingredients rigorously in a large bowl, then mix them two more times (yes20, you will need to get your hands very messy)

Place in a loaf pan and sprinkle top with a dash or marathon of the dry steak seasoning (this is always a matter of personal taste, depending on how long or short you wish to savor this meal)

Optional – Parmesan, Romano or Mozzarella cheese can be added to the top if you want to add a few more calories

Bake 50 to 60 minutes making sure the center is no longer loafing

Hide the ketchup bottle, so you don’t insult the chef

Serving suggestion; Green beans, Scallop potatoes or rice make this a savory and satisfying meal. Red Wine or Strawberry Kool-Aid will also compliment your dining experience.
