Is it Right to Write?
I was asked a question today on Quora (An outlet to have questions answered for people that are bored Lol) , “As a writer, do you spend 98% of your day avoiding writing?” This was my answer, “As a writer, you will never avoid writing. It would be like a human avoiding breathing. If you are truly a writer, nothing else feels right. And even when you are not in front of a computer or pad of paper, you are always creating or imagining or telling stories in your mind.”
Those of you that know me, will agree that writing or rhyming is always on my mind. When playing with my grandchildren I often sing rhymes. In everyday conversations a thought or rhyme will pop into my mind, and often pops out of my mouth anytime. My wife Deb will probably say I rhyme too much, but that’s just the way I stay in touch. Drat!!! There I go again.
Since losing my job and my ability to drive or work, I have discovered this talent which had been squashed far too long. Blindness opened my eyes to this God-given gift and I am finding real purpose in my life. I have now delivered over 950 projects in over 60 nations around the world. I have met the most interesting people from countries I have never even heard of. Never feel sorry for me for not getting out of my house much. I feel sorry that I cannot introduce you to all the amazing people around the globe that have been a part of my life.
I think I strayed from my original intent and question. But, I will end by saying for me, it is the right thing to write.
